The St. Louis Blues might as well rename training camp the Sammy Blais show. Because over the past two years, the young forward has distanced himself from the rest of the group and has earned spots on the opening night roster.
Last year, Blais showed signs of his brilliance, his play really stood out during the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season but failed to put together a complete 82 game regular season.
Fast forward to this season, Blais has been incredible, and he is starting to put together a complete season, and as a result, he may not need to travel very far for his first all-star game.
