Perron was in the midst of a 13 game point streak before getting hurt and had become one of the leading goal scorers for St. Louis. Not only was Perron asserting himself as one of the Blues best players, but he was also on track to have a career year.
St. Louis re-re-re acquired Perron on July 1 via free agency and signed him to a four year $16 million contract.
