The St. Louis Blues dropped their first overtime loss of the season last night at the Scottrade Center at the hands of the New York Islanders.
The Blues escaped the game with a point, but falling behind 2-0 meant the Note had to play catch-up for the rest of the game. It appeared to me that the team was complacent with the 1 point, and I’m not sure I blame them. After learning of Jaden Schwartz’s injury which will keep him out of the action for at least 3 months, Paul Stastny’s broken foot which will leave him unavailable for at least 5 weeks, and Kevin Shattenkirk along with Robby Fabbri’s return not coming until Tuesday, the 1 point looks pretty good.
