The St. Louis Blues front office should have kept a close eye on the trade that sent LA Kings defensemen Jake Muzzin to the Maple Leafs for Carl Grundstrom, Sean Durzi, and a first round pick in 2019 and what it could mean for a potential Alex Pietrangelo trade.
Grundstrom was drafted in the second round in the 2016 NHL draft and has spent his professional career with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. The 21-year-old has 32 points in 44 career games in the AHL and is likely headed to the Kings AHL affiliate, Ontario Reign.
