The St. Louis Blues made the biggest trade of the offseason when they acquired Ryan O’Reilly from the Sabres for Vladimir Sobotka, Patrik Berglund, Tage Thompson, and a first and second-round pick.
After being drafted in the second round by the Colorado Avalanche, O’Reilly spent his first six seasons in Colorado before being acquired by the Buffalo Sabres in a trade in 2015.
O’Reilly would go on to spend the next three seasons in Buffalo where he registered three straight 20 goal seasons.
Sobotka, Berglund, and Thompson have a combined ten goals, 13 assists, and 23 points this season.
