Yesterday, SI.com came out with their weekly power rankings. In those weekly rankings they ranked the Blues as the 11th best team in the NL. This comes a week after coming in 9th and going 2-0-1, defeating the #2 and #6 team last in last week’s rankings in the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers.
The Blues followed that up by beating the current #2 team (Dallas Stars) last night. Now, I get that they lost Alex Pietrangelo and the offense has shown that it still needs some help, but losing two spots after taking down two of the top 10 seems silly.
