The St. Louis Blues, per ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun, picked up goaltender Anders Nilsson. Nilsson was in his first season with the Oilers after spending parts of two years with the New York Islanders.
Nilsson played in 26 games and started 24 with a record of 10-12-2 with the Oilers. He’s got a .901 save percentage but has a 3.14 goals against average. While that can be chalked up to a bad Edmonton defense, it also doesn’t breed a ton of confidence.
Several different reporters had been asking General Manager Doug Armstrong if he intended to add any goaltending depth for the last few days.
