The Blues issues a press release earlier today that they’d released Jamie McGinn from his professional tryout, but Troy Brouwer was hanging around to soldier on. Even with Klim Kostin’s call-up, there could be space for a veteran player on the team who has experience with Doug Armstrong and the Blues. Army mentioned last week that they were looking for age and experience to bolster the team while Vladimir Tarasenko (five months) and Alexander Steen (one month) were out with injury.
Last night in the Blues’ 3-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Sammy Blais was awkwardly checked into the boards by Erik Cernak.
