There’s been some flooding in St. Louis recently courtesy of terrible weather and the Meramec River. It’s been bad. It’s been way worse than most people not in the metro St. Louis area understand.
Without getting political, it’s almost a given that whenever flooding hits the Midwest, the rest of the country shrugs and goes “eh, flyover country” while munching on a loaf of bread or something involving soy or corn or one of the many other crops grown in the nation’s breadbasket.
