ST. PAUL, Minn. • Jordan Leopold chuckled when the Western Conference playoffs were set and his Minnesota Wild were paired against the team with which he began the 2014-15 season.
The veteran spent parts of three seasons with the Blues before a logjam of defensemen led the club to trade him to Columbus on Nov. 15. He spent four months with the Blue Jackets before being moved to the Wild.
Now, Leopold is embroiled in a tight best-of-seven series against the Blues. He remained in the lineup for Game 3 Monday, after averaging 21 minutes, 29 seconds of ice time in the first two games.
