Jake Allen named to NHL all-rookie team for second time

Jake Allen of the Blues was named the goalie on the NHL's all-rookie team on Wednesday, the second time he has taken the honor. He was also the choice in 2012-13, but because he played in just 15 games that season and none last season, he was still considered a rookie and eligible this season. League rules say you're a rookie if you never played more than 25 games in a season or never more than six in each of two consecutive seasons.

It's the second time a player has been an all-rookie selection twice. Jamie Storr, also a goalie, took the honor in 1997-98 and 1998-99.
