Scottie Upshall’s PTO with the Vancouver Canucks ended yesterday. He was expected to play against the Calgary Flames, and was a late scratch. He didn’t travel to the arena.
With massive injuries plaguing the Blues already, especially the loss of Robby Fabbri for the season, the Blues needed to do something. What they’ve apparently decided to do as part of Operation Band Aid is to shore up their fourth line.
The deal, if complete, hasn’t been announced yet.
It does add some veteran competency to the team, with the added perk of being an addition that just finished two seasons with the Blues.
