Former Blues coach Red Berenson selected to the US Hockey Hall of Fame

Red Berenson will be joining Hago Harrington, Paul Stewart, Natalie Darwitz and David Poile in being inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame this December. Berenson has been the coach of the Michigan Wolverines hockey team for 33 seasons, leading them to two national championships and 22 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. The coach was selected MVP both his junior and senior terms, and holds a bachelors and masters degree from the university - the latter earned in 1966 when he was an active NHLer with the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers.
