David Backes Makes Amazing Save For St. Louis Blues In Game Two [Video]

David Backes plays his heart out, night after night for the St. Louis Blues, and never brings anything less than his best performance to the table.

That’s why he’s the captain.

But that’s also why he’s capable of these amazing plays like we saw Saturday afternoon.

In Game Two between the Blues and the Minnesota Wild, David Backes probably made the play of the night (even with all the work Jake Allen did, snatching the puck out of the air any time it came anywhere near him).

With a little over eight minutes to go in the third, and the Blues up only by one, Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle pulled off a great rush against the Blues, slipping one past Allen.
