This probably isn’t the contract everyone has been waiting on.
Jacob de la Rose, acquired last season in a deal with Detroit to get Robby Fabbri a chance of scenery, finished his first year with the Blues with one goal and five points in 34 games. He spent a majority of his time on the fourth line, and it became clear as the season progressed that regular playing time for de la Rose was not in the cards.
His one year contract as an injury fill-in comes with a $700,000 cap hit.
