The Blues selected center Keenan Washkurak, who scored 16 G 31 A last year with Mississauga of the OHL. Last year’s OHL hardest worker (as voted on by the league’s voters) finished NHL Central Scouting at #149 for North American skaters. He boosted his output between his freshman and sophomore years with the Steelheads considerably; he had just six goals and nine assists in 61 games his first year in the OHL. Adding that much output over the course of the year appears to bolster what the league’s coaches saw in him.
