This is unexpected, but it looks like some of the amateurs who were at Traverse City fit the Blues' needs. They're bringing in a veteran AHL guy with some NHL experience to Bolster the Wolves' defense and, one assumes, act as potential emergency call-up material.
If he makes the cut.
From the Blues' official press release:
St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has invited defenseman Stu Bickel to their 2015 Training Camp on a professional try-out basis. In addition, the club released Noah Bushnell, Macoy Erkamps, Gabriel Fontaine, Trent Fox, Mathieu Lemay, Liam Murray, Darren Raddysh andCarson Stadnyk, all of whom were on amateur try-outs at the Traverse City prospects tournament this past weekend.
