Sammy Blais dished out a high hit against Devon Toews in his first game of the season that was promptly penalized on-ice, and saw him suspended by the Department of Player Safety.
The next game, Robert Bortuzzo was hit high, and on-ice and from the DoPS? Crickets. Tuesday night, Tyler Bozak was a victim of a high hit courtesy of Mark Stone, the Golden Knights’ captain. Again, it was not penalized (unless you count Justin Faulk fighting Stone) and the DoPS has declined to discuss the hit further with Stone.
There seems to be a bit of a pattern forming here, and Doug Armstrong - along with fans - aren’t happy about it.
