Blues Acquire Nilsson from Oilers

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has acquired goaltender Anders Nilsson from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for goaltender Niklas Lundstrom and a 2016 fifth round draft pick.

Nilsson will be assigned to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Nilsson, 25, has appeared in 26 games for the Oilers this season, posting a 10-12-2 record along with a 3.14 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. The 6-foot-5, 229-pound goaltender was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the third round (62nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
