This year’s NHL Draft will be the same virtual format as last year’s, with all of the awkwardness that entails. It’s disappointing that we won’t get a chance to see the teams’ latest draftees put on their jerseys and caps in front of a massive crowd, but this is still a big deal regardless. After all, it’s probably the night that Owen Power gets drafted by the Buffalo Sabres. The welcome call he’ll get from Jack Eichel is going to be one for the ages.
