Wayback Wednesday: Chris Mullin, John Thompson III, Patrick Ewing Jr. involved in heated exchange

NEW YORK -- Mullin. Thompson. Ewing. Big East Tournament. It was 1985 all over again on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

St. John's head coach Chris Mullin and Georgetown head coach John Thompson III had to be separated from each other during a scrum between the teams that could've gotten much worse in the Red Storm's 74-73 win over the Hoyas in the opening round of the Big East Tournament.

Mullin and Georgetown assistant coach Patrick Ewing Jr. were each assessed a technical foul.
