After an emotional 1-0 for the St. John’s women’s soccer team Friday night in Queens, two more nail-biting conference games went against the Red Storm men’s and women’s squads this weekend.
The Johnnies were looking to rebound against Butler after a 2-1 midweek loss against non-conference opponent Lehigh last Tuesday.
In that game on Tuesday, St. John’s led for most of the second half, after striker Filipo Ricupati converted a penalty late in the first half. Then, late second half goals from visiting Lehigh’s Alex Greene and defender Zarin Tuten gave the Mountain Hawks the win.
The loss marked the end of a four game win streak and five game unbeaten streak for St.
