It seems like the St. John’s Men’s and Women’s soccer teams cannot win on the same weekend.
Last night during a double header at Belson Stadium in Queens, the men fell 1-0 in double-overtime to Marquette, while the women prevailed 1-0 over winless Seton Hall.
Connor Alba’s 110th minute goal off a high lofted cross denied the teams from sharing the points. With only 26 seconds left in the second overtime period, the Golden Eagles’ lone tally proved to be one of the game’s last kicks.
St. John’s’ best chance of the night came in the first half from freshman forward Jack Shearer.
