St. John’s soccer starts conference play with a road win over Xavier
The St. John’s soccer team got Big East play off to a good start as they took down the Xavier Musketeers by a 1-0 scoreline in Cincinnati on Saturday night.
Despite playing on the road, the Red Storm controlled the game and had some of the better chances in the match.
Atila Ashrafi had a few really good shots on goal from outside the box with the most dangerous one coming in the 16th minute as the junior midfielder’s strike was tipped onto the crossbar.
