The St. John’s men’s basketball squad got another win on Monday, beating Cal State Northridge Matador 76-70 at Carnesecca Arena.
It was a struggle, unlike their previous win when they were lighting it up from the perimeter. Overall, however, it was a close game throughout and St. John’s once again showed some of their inexperience through their mistakes.
A win is a win, and once again one of their freshmen stepped up in a big way.
Guard Shamorie Ponds had another excellent game with 25 points which is a career high so far in his early collegiate career.
