The St. John’s men’s basketball squad gave a glimpse of how good they can actually be this past Wednesday.
On that day, they defeated Marquette at Madison Square Garden, 80-72, in their most balanced effort of the season.
It was a game the Red Storm led midway in the first half and never looked back the rest of the way.
Along the way, many guys contributed. The top performer was Bashir Ahmed. The Bronx native poured in a career-high 23 points, doing it from the outside and inside as well, just as he’s done all season long.
