This evening, St. John’s received word that Mikey Dixon, a 6’2” guard transferring from Quinnipiac University, has chosen the Red Storm over UMass and Penn State.
After sitting out this season, Dixon will have three years of eligibility remaining starting in 2018-19; it will be like recruiting a solid freshman this season for Chris Mullin’s Red Storm.
Dixon completed his freshman year at Quinnipiac, a team that struggled to a 10-21 record - though he and his teammate Peter Kiss shined on the offensive end. Dixon won the major accolade of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year award this season.
