The St. John’s basketball program received some groundbreaking news on Sunday night.
The extra fireworks that were heard in Queens on Sunday night were set off by Mike Anderson and his coaching staff after the St. John’s basketball program got the best news of the offseason.
Rising junior forward Julian Champagnie announced he would be removing his name from the 2021 NBA Draft and returning to Queens for the 2021-22 season.
The move from the All-Big East First Team selection should cement the Johnnies as a Top-4 team in the Big East next season and give the program real hopes and aspirations for March 2022.
