It was an outstanding couple of weeks for St. John’s basketball standout Julian Champagnie during his second stint during the NBA’s Summer League.
Champagnie, after averaging 3.7 points per contest last season in seven Summer League games, started the two week stretch with a 30 point performance in the California Classic as the basketball world awaited the debut of his San Antonio Spurs teammate, and No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama.
The undrafted product made 9-of-20 attempts from the field, including 5-of-12 from 3-point range, while recording eight rebounds two assists and four steals in the victory.
