The decision of St. John’s basketball target Carlos Curry became more important after the latest adjustment regarding eligibility.
The NCAA made the ruling that the 2020-21 season will not count against the eligibility of players and the NJCAA will do the same. The NCAA also will honor the NJCAA’s decision for players making the leap to Division I.
So, typically a junior college player would have two seasons of eligibility when making the jump to the NCAA, but now those players will have three years of eligibility remaining.
