St. John’s basketball was unable to withstand the pressure of No. 19 DePaul.
In stepping on the national stage against the No. 19 DePaul Blue Demons (7-3, 4-1 Big East), the St. John’s basketball program was unable to build off its first conference win of the season.
The Red Storm (4-6, 1-4 Big East) could not handle the pressure of DePaul, committing 22 turnovers in the game, ultimately falling 101-84.
Doug Bruno’s team set the tone for the game in the opening seconds with three straight steals and three straight baskets to take a 6-0 lead and never looked back.
