The St. John’s University women’s soccer team won their second straight to kick off the 2016 campaign with a 5-1 win over Fairfield University.
Five different players scored for the still undefeated Red Storm (4-0-2) in the team’s best offensive performance of the season. It was all five players’ first goals of the season.
“We worked really hard this week because we were frustrated with the couple of results last weekend where we dominated possession but we could not get the ball in the back of the net,” head coach Ian Stone after the game said.
“There are a lot of times when we will play really well on Belson, but to score five goals is always a special night.
