The St. John’s Red Storm took on the Albany Great Danes last Tuesday, looking to avoid a three game losing streak.
It was a rare losing streak for the Johnnies, but they made it a quick one after defeating Albany 9-3. Michael Donadio lead the way for St. John’s, going 4-5 with three RBI’s.
Sophomore pitcher Matt Messier started the game, and allowed just one hit in four innings. Reliever Turner French finished the job, earning the win after pitching 2.2 scoreless innings.
Things got started early, as the Red Storm scored four runs in the second inning.
