St. John's continues to beat the bushes looking for talent, with two names rising to the top this week - South Florida transfer Jahmal McMurray and high school senior Derrick Walker.
The courtship of Derrick Walker - a strong 6'8" forward who attacks the glass and is known as a hard working paint player continues. Even a current St. John's player - and former member of Walker's AAU team - has jumped in to tell Walker publicly that St. John's could use his talents.
Walker will visit on January 14th for the game at Madison Square Garden against the Villanova Wildcats; it will be an unofficial visit, since most of Walker's official visits have already been used.
