On the St. John’s men’s hoops schedule, Nebraska has loomed as one of those teams that sounds like a decent opponent in theory (being in a major conference) but looks like a game against a lower-level opponent in reality (bottom of the Big Ten).
(To be fair, not only is this a Gavitt Games obligation, but this isn’t a terrible team to schedule.)
Nebraska looked to be quite the beatable opponent, with a leading senior guard departing along with four other scholarship players, including the team’s starting center and a pair of promising forwards.
But Isaac Copeland, the Georgetown transfer who was expected to sit out the first semester, will be eligible for fall games.
