As a senior, we noted that Amar Alibegovic needed to be “a low-turnover contributor [and] get to the right spots on defense while not trying to be a shot-blocker” as a senior.
So far, so good.
Alibegovic has not found the shooting stroke, yet. He scored nine against Division II Molloy and three points total in the other five games (he did not play against Oregon State).
But when the team needed spot minutes against Missouri and UCF, Alibegovic’s improved defense helped slow down opponents. Amar even found himself defending guards decently, providing a big body for UCF players to try and pass around at the top of the key.
