Yesterday, Chris Mullin attended practice with new Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson. It looks like the trip was also a bit of a fact-finding educational mission; Mullin came with assistant Greg St. Jean, who has been a crucial factor in creating the Red Storm’s scheme. From the NY Newsday:
Mullin said he has known Atkinson since the early 1990s when he still was in the midst of his NBA playing career. “I was living on Long Island in the offseason, and I used to play out there in the offseason,” Mullin said. “I have a lot of respect for him.
