CHICAGO -- Jessica January had 21 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and three steals and No. 23 DePaul turned back St. John's 77-71 on Sunday.
Megan Podkowa added 11 points and 13 rebounds and Chanise Jenkins had 10 points and 10 assists, giving her 609 assists in her career for the Blue Demons (17-7, 9-2 Big East).
DePaul made six-straight shots and went 10 of 20 in the first quarter, including a late 3 by Ashton Millander, to take a 25-16 lead. The Blue Demons led by 15 late in the first half but couldn't shake the Red Storm.
