At no point tonight should we, out here on the the Rumble, or we, in the arena, start thinking, “oh wow will this be St. John’s first loss?
With that laid out, let’s also acknowledge that St. John’s has required some incredible comebacks this season. That’s fine, but it also reminds us that while Shamorie Ponds has been spectacular, his teammates have been hit or miss (with the possible exception of LJ Figueroa).
This team needs to find its rhythm. Will a game that is likely to feature a half or more of garbage time help develop that rhythm?
