As first reported by Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports, former St. John’s forward Darien Williams has committed to the Nevada Wolfpack. He also had interest from UConn, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech and Washington State. Since Williams is a graduate transfer, he is eligible to play immediately.
During his time at St. John’s, Williams averaged almost 4 points and 3 rebounds per game, appearing in 24 contests. Although he was not a major contributor for the Red Storm, his presence was incredibly effective at times when other Johnnies were on the bench with foul trouble. His formidable defensive and rebounding skills will be received well by Wolfpack supporters.
