World Cricket Championship 2 (WCC2) has partnered with mobile esports platform Mobile Premier League to host tournaments.
WCC2 is a cricket simulator developed by Nextwave Multimedia, a subsidiary of Indian media company Nazara Technologies.
In an effort to accelerate the adoption of World Cricket Championship 2 as a competitive title, it has features for both spectators and casters. Considering this partnership, it’s clear that Nextwave Multimedia is pushing to make the cricket title an esport.
PR Rajendran, Founder and CEO of Nextwave Multimedia, spoke on the deal in a release: “The commitment towards delivering the best and establishing a personal connection with our users to innovate and improvise the gameplay has helped us achieve this success in mobile cricket gaming.
