On June 16th, Riot Games announced the Ignition Series, an endeavour devised to help boost and support competitive initiatives surrounding its newly-released tactical shooter, VALORANT.
The European G2 Esports Invitational, an event hosted by the ever-popular European organisation, is the very first Riot Games-sanctioned tournament that’s part of the new series. The developer has partnered with over 20 companies to kickstart VALORANT’s esports scene so it’s safe to say that today’s event is just the start.
