Visa and Bank of America today announced that they’re giving away 10,000 Google Cardboard virtual reality headsets at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, for fans of the New England Patriots to watch a new video of the football team practicing.
These aren’t just any Cardboard headsets — they’re limited edition, according to a statement. Naturally, the sponsors of the giveaway have a motive: promote the BankAmericard Travel Rewards Visa credit card as they give out the headsets to fans.
But even if people can’t pick up one of the headsets, or if they don’t have an iOS or Android smartphone that supports Cardboard, they can still watch the (360-degre YouTube-based) video online, by visiting visa.
