There is no contact involved, very seldom will you see trash talking, and rarely will you witness any gruesome injuries but the sport of tennis is ranked in the top 10 as one of the most popular sports played around the world except in the U.S. In the United States the sport of tennis can’t compete with the lucrative and fast paced sports of football, basketball, and the growing sport of lacrosse. As Serena Williams dominates U.S. tennis for the women’s side the men have had a decline of stand out players and this has had a trickle down effect on younger generations and TV ratings in America.
