Amazon-owned live streaming platform Twitch has launched a dedicated directory for esports tournaments, teams, and players.
The hub is said to make “the world of esports streaming more intuitive and accessible.”
Twitch’s newly-formed esports section includes a directory that lists live tournaments, a list of live players who are signed to professional organisations, personalised recommendations based on users’ viewing history, and a sub-directory that compiles active tournaments and leagues.
Earlier this week, Twitch entered a three-year deal with ESL and DreamHack that will see it act as the exclusive global digital partner for the tournament organiser’s ‘major’ events – including ESL Pro Tour, ESL Pro League, IEM, DreamHack Masters, and DreamHack Open.
