StubHub is enabling customers to browse and search for tickets for sporting events on television screens, as the company launched its app for Apple TV on Monday ironically designed to motivate couch potatoes.
Fans accustomed to using StubHub on the computer or mobile phone can now have an experience with their ticket searches on the television that is “less transactional and more emotional,” according to StubHub. The Apple TV app goes along with StubHub’s theory that the best screen is life-size.
But actually, the ticket-buying transaction will still have to be done on a smartphone, as links to make the purchase can be texted according to TechCrunch.
