Soccer scouting app Tonsser has raised €5.5 million ($6.3 million) in a Series A funding round that will help to accelerate expansion plans as the platform works to match undiscovered talent with pro clubs.
The funding round, which brings Tonsser’s total money raised to €9.8 million ($11.1 million) across three rounds, according to Crunchbase, was led by Alven Capital with participation from existing investors SEED Capital and Wellington Partners.
The Danish soccer app additionally announced this week that Huddersfield Town AFC has become the first Premier League club to use Tonsser to identify and track youth talent after the company revealed a new scouting partnership with the league a few weeks ago.
