Crowd-sourcing score app ScoreStream is among the launch partners for Snapchat’s new developer platform, Snap Kit, announced on Thursday.
ScoreStream originally partnered with the social messaging service two years ago on the use of dynamic geofilters to add live scores to user posts. This latest program will enable a deeper integration of Snapchat features such as stickers, filters, and links into other apps.
For ScoreStream, that means adding more dynamic overlays through SportFX, its special effects tools that include mascots, colors, logos, and locations for teams. ScoreStream, which provides high school score reporting to the Associated Press, concluded a Series A round of investment last fall that included the likes of Intel Capital and Verizon Ventures and is hoping for further growth, potentially to international markets.
