SeatGeek has acquired Israeli ticketing software company TopTix for $56 million. The acquisition was financed by a new $57 million Series D investment round in SeatGeek, which continues to make moves to take aim at Ticketmaster.
TopTix has provided ticketing software to more than 500 different companies in 16 different countries and has served as SeatGeek’s technology partner for Sporting Kansas City, the company’s first primary ticketing client.
The partnership with TopTix will allow SeatGeek Open, SeatGeek’s primary ticketing platform, to expand. SeatGeek Open allows teams to directly sell tickets within other apps and websites.
