As title sponsor of the Porsche Esports Supercup, Swiss luxurious watchmaker TAG Heuer has entered.
The overall prize pool, along with the sponsorship, has doubled from $100,000 (£ 84,132) to $200,000 (£ 168,342 for the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup).
Now in his first year, the German carmaker, in co-operation with the iRacing Sim racing network, launched the competition in 2019. Josh Rogers, Maximilian Benecke, Sebastian Job and Jong’s Mitchell champion were all invited to the 2020 season, which was finished last season in the top four places. 36 other drivers, beginning on 2 May, will compete for the prize money in 10 events.
